Hate Crime

A hate crime is ANY incident which may or may not constitute a criminal offence, which is perceived by the victim or any other person, as being motivated by hate or prejudice

The Safer Norwich Partnership is determined to tackle Hate Crime as one of its main priorities. An initiative funded by the Partnership is our Hate Crime Advocacy Worker. If you have been a victim of Hate Crime – please report it so that we can support you. The Advocacy worker, Jonathan Scholey can work with you by liaising with public bodies on your behalf and supporting you through the criminal justice process if you decide to support a prosecution. If you wish to use this service please call 01603 276031.

If you wish to report an incident without visiting a police station you can log onto the True Vision website www.report-it.org.uk
